She came to Boone a little over a year ago, after getting married in Valle Crucis. Ellen was born and raised throughout the south and chose to lay down roots in the mountains of North Carolina to raise her family. For over 20 years she has served the Boone community in many staple restaurants throughout the area. She yields a refined knowledge of great food and drink and an extensive familiarity of the area and its history. She is committed to honoring the community by incorporating locally sourced ingredients and beverages, and proud to share in the vision of what great hospitality should be at The Horton.
